My Story
Anchor Gear Co.
The water found me first.
I don’t know how else to explain it. I grew up near the water, spent summers on it, built a life around it — but somewhere along the way I realized it wasn’t just a place I loved. It was a place that brought me back to myself.
It didn’t matter if I was on a boat, on a paddle board, or just sitting dockside with my feet hanging over the edge. The moment I got near the water, something would shift. Time would slow. The noise of the world — the rushing, the scrolling, the relentless pace of everything — would fall away. And I could just… be.
There’s something almost sacred about that feeling. Grounding, in the truest sense of the word.
A life built around the water.
I married a man who loves the water as much as I do. We’ve spent years exploring new waterways together — him at the helm, me as his first mate — with our daughters alongside us. Those days shaped us as a family. They taught us something that’s hard to learn on land: that the best moments aren’t planned. They happen when you slow down enough to let them.
When the world hit pause during the pandemic, the water became my sanctuary in a way it never had before. While everything felt uncertain, that stillness on the water felt like the one thing I could trust. It was in that quiet that Anchor Gear Co. was born.
More than a brand.
Anchor Gear Co. started small — a simple idea called “For the Love of Boating,” shared first with friends, then local shops, then a waterfront restaurant. The response was immediate and warm. People didn’t just like the apparel. They recognized something in it.
That’s when I understood what I was really building. Not just a clothing brand. A reminder.
Anchor Gear Co. is for anyone who knows what it feels like to stand at the edge of the water and exhale. Anyone who uses the outdoors — a lake, a river, an ocean, a quiet dock — to find their way back to themselves. You don’t need a boat. You just need to know that feeling.
Our pieces are designed to move with you through that life — relaxed but never sloppy, elevated but never precious. Clothing that feels as natural on the water as it does off it.
Live Anchored.
There’s a reason we call it a way of life. Because for those of us who’ve felt it, it really is. The water doesn’t just fill a weekend. It fills something deeper.
I’m grateful every day that I followed that pull. And I’m glad you’re here.
