The Countdown Is Over — Trent-Severn Waterway Opens This Weekend

Posted by Anchor Gear Co. | May 2025 | Boating Lifestyle, Kawartha Lakes
I’ve been counting down the days… and it’s finally here.
The Trent-Severn Waterway officially opens for the 2025 boating season this weekend, and if you're anything like me, you're more than ready to get out there. I’ve been watching Waterways TV just to get a taste of the lifestyle again — and now, it’s time to trade the screen for the real thing.
Whether you're launching out of Bobcaygeon, cruising toward Fenelon Falls, or just taking in the calm of an early morning ride, this weekend kicks off what we live for: the boating way of life.
✔️ Safety First — Let’s Do This Right
Before you hit the throttle, do a full check: safety gear, updated charts, functioning lights, and your Pleasure Craft Operator Card. This isn’t just about checking boxes — it’s about respecting the water, yourself, and your crew.
If you took a CanBoat course this winter, now’s your time to shine. Whether it's docking with confidence or navigating tight channels, let that knowledge fuel your season.

🌊 This Is More Than a Season Opener — It’s a Lifestyle Reset
This weekend isn’t just about boats in the water — it’s about reconnecting with what fuels us. The quiet mornings. The laughs at the dock. The freedom that can’t be found on land.
So here’s to the season ahead. I’ll be out there — rope in hand, smile on my face, Anchor Gear on my back.
See you on the water.
